Something... fishy.

Hello fabbers!

Feeling in a bit of a detective mode...

Whilst scrolling my news feed, I happen to notice the same picture being uploaded by two separate profiles, couples and single.

Nothing too suspicious... however.

In the couples profile the women is aged “X”... but in the solo profile aged “y”...

Neither are verified... And just.. something doesn’t seem right.

Is this just slips of the finger? Or something more sinister at play?

Any advice fellow sleuthers?

I suspect its the woman of a couple on the single profile adjusting her age tp broaden her appeal.

What sinister motive might there be?

That’s what I had thought.... I guess making her age older on the solo profile could bring more interest.

Perhaps nothing dangerous.. who knows.

Thought I’d ask the community just incase

If you think a profile is suspicious report it.

What do you mean by dangerous?

If you see anything that breaks site rules - report it.

If you're unsure about someone's behaviour, activity etc, then it's worth reporting too, including the boundaries of your concern.

Otherwise, sometimes people have stolen photos from others and used them, either in Fab or outside. It may or may not be the same person that's using the pics.

And, let's remember that not everyone has a right to know everything about another, even if they're in some type of relationship with them. It's feasible for people to retain some control over what partners know about them as well as also making themselves harder to track down, perhaps due to stalkers or having had negative experiences here before, or to prevent being matched with professional profiles. Often people record their location as different to their actual location, for similar reasons. It's still possible for employment to be harmed due to personal interests outside of work.
