Depends on the site, but might be auto filters kicking in to prevent spam.

Ah right, you mean a ban on sending mails rather than a chat ban in chat....it should clear after a couple of hours

Mods don't do anything , it is automatic, you must have typed a word or phrase that isn't allowed, as I say it should lift , if it still hasn't ask Admin to look into it for you from the CONTACT button
