Over recent weeks we have noticed a steady stream of people that we blocked two years ago are able to communicate with us in someway. mostly in the chatrooms.

But surely if we blocked them 2 years ago they shouldn't be able to right?

Or do blocks alleviate after two years?

I've got over 500 blocked, been here 10 years! and none of them can contact me or read my chat room posts

We’ve encountered this too.

From what I can see, if you’re in the chat room with them and block them via their profile rather than the block button in the chat room under their name they can still chat in the chat room.

It’s got to be a bug in the system.

Not a bug - it's because the profiles are on a separate system to the chat system.

You can have any number of profiles blocked - but you can only have 500 blocked from chatting to you in the chatrooms.

So when you've hit the 500, do the oldest start to drop off?

I understand about the different servers and that it takes a while for them to synchronise.

However, I'm referring to a couple of people that have been blocked for two years, more than enough time for the servers to update one another.

It's only happened in the last few weeks, but people that have been blocked and unable to chat, can now see our cam and chat with us, even though they are on our block list.

So I'm guessing that they have now dropped off our block list?

I guess it's time to reblock them again and see who else drops off

Only the most recent 500 blocks apply in the chat room.
