Anyone else unable to connect via mobile data. Says unable to get a secure connection.

Your provider had enabled an adult content block. You will have to contact them to switch it off.

That comes up differently as vodaphone have a content filter. Message I am getting is

“Safari can not open the page because it could not establish a secure connection to the server”

m.fabswingers.com unexpectedly closed the connection.

Try:

Checking the connection

ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED

That's what I get on Chrome on android, 4G with no content control filters in place, been happening since this afternoon, no problems with Opera browser though

It's definitely adult block

Double check with them that they have not enabled it

Also they are applying something called "Vodafone Secure Net" to accounts automatically. Again, this blocks adult content -- check that this is not enabled

It is definitely an content block. Opera works because it has a built in vpn which can get round the block. Many mobile and broadband providers enable adult content blocks by default to all customers old and new.

It definitely isn't, I tried to upload a screenshot of my network services and the adult bar isn't active (photo was rejected obvs ). Jiggered if I know what the deal is.

As admin said it is almost certainly vodaphone secure net. The fact the opera works which has an in built vpn and probably wifi works confirms this. There have been loads of posts just like this in the forums recently.

When you say
"Mobile WiFi"
, do you mean Mobile or WiFi?

If it's Mobile, see the advice from Admin, above and in other threads. If it's WiFi, can you connect from other WiFi devices?

Got a new mobile today, and asked the guy in shop not to put secure net to my account. I told him I can't get on certain sites, anyhow I still can't get onto fabswingers or fabguys on 4g on my phone in with Vodafone.

Call vodafone and ask that your adult block is removed

turn your phone to airplane mode for 5 mins, also download CCleaner and run that. Try again see if it's fixed.
