Block messages from one gender

If I was to block messages from Men, would males on my friends list still be able to message me?

Yes or you can message men.

But anyone who have messaged you prior to the block means they still can message you

I don't want to have to do it but I keep getting the same guy messaging me on different accounts. At least I'm assuming it's the same guy
