"Varies depending on which user, what they're trying to do or have been doing. It's very rare genuine users sending genuine one to one messages encouter it. It's part of a package of anti-spam measures we have in place. Admin x" "There is more allowance for site supporters. Most people never hit the free limit (by design) so you must send a lot of mail! ... Should also say that the allowances aren't fixed, people whose accounts are more trusted e.g. verified, photo-verified, on the site longer, also get more mails; site supporter *is* part of this "mix".
