deleting unread sent messages

If I delete a message which I have sent which has not yet been read from my sent message folder, does it remain in the recipients inbox? Or is there any other way to recall an unread sent message?

Once it's sent, it's sent. You can't recall it.

think of it like posting a letter, once in the post box there is no way to get it back
