Quick query.... if logged into a laptop in one location but logged in elsewhere when it shows mobile distance from you; how does it determine which one to take from?

All depends if the profile has their GPS/Location enabled and if it has been refreshed recently. Plus not everyone puts in an accurate post code, I don't as I live in a small place so I use my local large towns post code.

it shows your home distance , and the mobile distance

If you've had "whos near" on.... and switched it off it will keep showing you in whatever location you were in when you last had it on.

I, apparently showed as still being in the canaries on my old profile weeks after I came home from holiday

Is there any chance someone else could have been logged into your account? I've known of this - a couple had a profile which they both used to access, and never changed the password after they split up. After that, he switched it to a single guy's profile which he thought he was using for himself - but sometimes showed up in other parts of the country.... until he twigged that she was also logging in to see what he was up to!!

GPS can get confused, very technical reason why, but try using a sat nav app if you have one, it will get your location sorted kut i've found.
