Please help me end a discussion/argument lol.

Do you have to be photo verified to use fab?

A friend says nowadays when you sign up for fab after completing your profile you get asked to photo verify and you cannot use fab until you do the photo verification. Is this true?

I didn't photo verify for a couple of weeks after joining, I judt forgot!

It didn't restrict my use of the site or forums.

Now I am confused

A female friend signed up to Fab about one week to ten days go. she claims as soon as she finished setting up her profile before she could go any further she had to upload a verification photo.

Maybe it has only just started? Maybe it is only for new members?

I just texted my friend. She said after setting up her profile she got a message that said something like You need to photo-verify to finish your registration.

Then every time she logged in she said she couldn't get pass the you must do photo verification message.

She is now photo verified and can use fab.

i had to photo verify this account before being allowed to do anything. and had that same page until i got verified.

had she had a previous profile on here? i did and deleted it.

i think this veri thing is some kind of spam prevention to stop the same people making loads of new accounts hwen they get deleted for spamming or something.

This is her first profile. Her mail address had never been used on fab before.

I found out speaking to my female friend one of her female friends also got told she had to photo verify herself before she could use her profile. She didn't want to photo verify and deleted her account. A few days later she signed up again with a new email address. Again after creating her account she got told to photo verify before she can use it.

Maybe fab have changed the rules? Maybe it is compulsory for new members to photo verify nowadays?

To the website owners and mods - Do you have to photo verify to be able to use fab?

To my knowledge and going by what Admin say in threads about PVs, you don't need 1 and they don't have any plans to make them compulsory.

But apparently something is flagging her profiles, you don't have to show your face in a PV, it can just be a nude body pic as she is just proving her gender.
