I write quite lengthy erotic stories for lady readers. If I use Messages, I need to cut and paste each chapter into about 10 messages...and some of my stories have 5 or 6 chapters. That's way too many messages, so I'd like to give readers a Dropbox link to each chapter. Am I allowed to send Dropbox links in messages, or post them in my Profile, or post them in the erotic stories forum...or anywhere else on the site?

You definitely arent allowed to post the links in the forum.

I think youd probably be ok putting it on your profile as long as it isnt commercial in any way, and unless it is auto-blocked as a link I think it would be ok in PMs as long as you dont use it for spamming.

Thanks for your reply Jezebel. I've not used Forums very often and I've only just noticed the line above the message box, "Read the forum rules in full." I now know that my opening message should not have mentioned the website that my links lead to. It's also clear that I can't do any of the things I was hoping to...for fear of being banned for spamming and for promoting another website. Thankfully I'm not promoting commercial services.

Dont worry, you wont get a ban for saying Dropbox

I said up there ^^^ its not allowed on the forums but it would probably be ok on your profile and in PMs
