upgrading by text

just wondered if others are having problems doing this as i have tried a few times ( keep getting charged by phone company for text ) and havr been in contact with admin and they just tell me to upgrade by another means which i have now but notice it is more expensive to do this . cheers

I suppose it depends if you have in your tariff, inclusive texts or not.

I have no issues at all with inclusive texts on my plan, just get charged for the FAB fee.

I do it by text all the time ...in fact mine runs out in 6 days so need to redo it at some point

it probably works out cheaper in the long run if you pay by other means but it means a big wedge taken off at one time . and its not that that is the problem it is i cant seem to upgrade by text and i have checked with my provider and 18 block is off and just wondered if others have experienced the same

An 18 block would stop you accessing the site, but not prevent you paying by text. It would be a "Premium Rate Text" block.

well that premium block is not on either double checked today with bt explaining i was on a swingers site they think it could be a site thing but i dont know what it is just seems mighty fishy

I renewed today by phone & all went as it should. Text the word to the number given & within seconds, the code comes back to enter on the site. Code accepted & renewed. Mine is with EE ...

i have just found this bit in the comtact admin patt off the site it tells you the solution to the problem but no explanation to why this is. i am asking others on here if they have experienced or know off others barr myself who have experienced this problem as i can't see me being the only 1 in the X amount off people who are site supporters .

If you didn't receive a text back you won't have been charged and we recommend you use our phone call upgrade option or upgrade by credit/debit card option instead.
