FabSwingers.com forum: Forum posts come up on Google with your profile pic

Was at a party this week and warned not to post comments in event forum strings on here. If you search for an event on Google it shows the forum conversation AND your profile pic. Do people know that their pics will come up on google from the forum? Is this info correct - may need to give forum posters a warning ??

Ye I knew this. It has been mentioned befire. The forums are public, as in open to everyone not just site members, tho think the username us still blurred out. Haven't checked for a while.

Omg!! I have just checked this and yes yr profile pic still comes up.. re think profile pic me thinks !!

No profile pics show unless the user is logged on the site. If user isn't logged in, any photos are heavily pixellated (logout and try).

There are over 200,000 registered people use the site each day. If you are worried about your profile pic, it's probably those 200,000 who are more concerning vs the handful who end up here via google and see a pixellated photo.

As we always advise -- never share anything online if you'd be upset if it was mis-used! (photos/text/usernames/etc)
