Doirecting room camera help

HI all, I have a nice cam whihc has worked on fab previously however the whole pc needed to be re-nbooted now on msn the cam works fin but fab it recognises it but no pic comes up and no one can see the cam ? I have downloaded all of adobe etc but still stuck? Can anyone help?

Have you followed the FAQ's? (Link at the bottom of the page). And for some reason Google Chrome seems to be the best browser for peeps with Chat/Cam problems. (You'll probably need to redo your Flash upgrade for that browser). Good luck!

right ok cam works fine and dandy in old chatrooms but only get a white screen in the new ones ?

same here the cam works fine in old chat but not new have installed all flash player and cam works fine in msn

iv recently had to completely reboot the pc so everything downloaded is completely new ie flashplayer

???

OK, 2 things to check:

1) right click on your own cam, and choose about. This takes you to a web page showing the version you have and the latest version for your OS/Browser combo.

2) plug something into your mic socket (it can be headphones!) - no honestly, try it!

Device driver is upto date, windows says the product is working properly. The headphones thing didnt work, when i first click the camera in chat it doesnt come up with an image then asks for permission so i click allow but all anyone can see is a white screen. If i go back in and select the camera an image comes up in the box but as soon as i click close back to the whitescreen again?
