If I've sent a private pic in a message, then delete the pic. Does the pic attachment on the message get deleted also?

But why don't you just tick the auto remove pics button when you attatch a pic.

Is it just me that the auto delete doesn't work for? I can go back in to the message to remove it but if I send a message with auto delete selected the pic remains.

Seems a bit pointless to me in terms of discretion. I could just go to the sent items and manually select to remove the pic. Personally I think if it were to remove the image straight away after being read that would certainly help with privacy. Just my 2 cents.

If you have sent a pic to someone and they have read the message it really doesn't matter if it gets deleted after 24hrs 1 minute 4 hours they would of still seen the pic attached to the message,so the privacy help goes straight out the window

If that was the case then the whole feature is pointless. If it states deleted after being read it should do just that (not a pop at admin btw). If we went to the extreme then you could say (for example) my neighbour sent me a message with a face pic attached. If I were to reply to say 'oh I know you' by that point the picture would be deleted. I know if it happened to me I'd feel more at ease knowing the picture has already gone rather than waiting 24hours. Of course screen shots are easily made but what can you do!

The big problem too is that once the picture is open it can be screen shot and kept for ever .

No if you delete a message it is only deleted from your side. Only site supporters can set pics to delete from messages after they have been seen.

The reason I know this is because I was hacked and black mailed a while ago and the police did exactly this with all the messages and pics , and asked me to do the same on future contact with the perpetrators.
