Messages to hidden profiles

Hi all, have never posted a question on here before, so hello to you.

My question is simple...If my profile is hidden, can my friends still send me messages,or if I wanted to get in touch with one of my friends who also had a hidden profile, then could I message them too?

I thought I could,or have I got it wrong?

Yes.. When you click on a link to a hidden profile (from friend list, hotlist, forum post) you still have the menu options to mail / wink etc
