Why do people feel the need to direct when they are not in the directing rooms?

As someone who chooses to stay out of the directing rooms because I simply find the directing crass and unattractive , why do I have to put up with it in a non directing chatroom ?

I no longer use a webcam in chat as i didnt like them directing in whisper but when there are no mods around its like a free for all , the new scotland chatroom is rife with it and in the old scotland room its becoming a tad too much in the middle of the day.

How are we gonna sort this ?

all sound advice , that i do anyway , but as for reporting the user i would have spend most of the chat time i have reporting directors.

There seems to be a shortage of mods , whilst i realise that people have other things to do , the site really needs more.

Like that in the new scots room most of the time... If ppl didn't entice the directors chances r they would move on quicker

I commented on very same problem a few times when new scottish chat room first arrived....I was advised to block, I did and ended up blocking so many all enjoyment was removed and there was no point remaining in the room. I noticed some members being banned for directing but when next on the directing began again. More annoying was the blatant directing as soon as mod/mods left room. And as View correctly pointed out, many were encouraging guys to direct! I very rarely visit said room now, which is a shame...I am sure many othere are also avoiding it for the same reasons.

Thanks for the support fellow chatters , it is disgraceful and we shouldnt have to block everyone , we are in a non directing room surely its the people doing it and encouraging it who should be told about it, and i also agree about it making chat less fun when its going on around you.

We always tell directors that the room is not for directing in, but they take no notice.

We report and block too but again this doesn't seem to stop it.

The site really needs more mods.

Another new mod was added just this week.

I am guessing there are a few people who want to be mods, the best way to do that is to use the CONTACT button at the bottom of the page to make your interest known, and then use the blocks and REPORT buttons until or if Admin put any more in.

We have literally hundreds of people contact us asking to be mods we can't add them all. Being friendly with existing mods isn't part of the criteria we look at

Welsh Beta chat is terrible for directing, and as soon as you mention that it isnt a directing room, the abuse starts.

I go in to chat, not spend my time blocking, arguing and reporting people.

There is a definite lack of mods, on two occassions there have been no mods on in any of the rooms!!!

Here I go again! I was in new Scottish chat again last night, as soon as I logged in and saw snippets of previous chat, there was directing, members encouraging directing and rule abiding chatters asking the directors to stop...so I left! completely spoils it for me every time I log in, it is the only chat room I wish to visit. I do not like directing rooms and new Scottish chat is very quickly getting a bad name for becoming another directing room. I leave it weeks in between hoping it will be better, alas, no! Shame as the 4 directing rooms were not full! and yes I am aware of report and block functions and that mods cannot be everywhere, but perhaps as so many members are very fed up of it all, maybe something can be done?

Yeah well the last time I modded the Wales room I was threatened with 'Burn the English houses' - maybe that attitude explains the lack of mods in the Wales room ?

im just wondering how many mods you have on the site to accomodate so many rooms and users ? i have definatley noticed a decline in a couple of mods who used to frequent the old scotland room pretty regularly but hardly ever see them in there now

earlie mornings and late nites in scotland chat is dire for direcing and people encouraging directing .

Seems to be a problem, perhaps its time to look at how many mods can moderate late evenings , early mornings and see if there is more mods needed at these times when mods seem to be sparse.

Either that or the chatroom message that appears periodically should be worded with the directing point first and bold so it cant be missed , either that or put the full chat rules on display somewhere , not just to click a link , coz lets face it , when guys have penis in palm and chugging and watching cams , they dont pay one bit of heed to being told not to direct.

Something has to be done , SURELY.

errmmm i think you find im very grown and act in a very adult way rules are there for a reason to be adhered too ..... i think ul find the ones being childish are the adults acting like over grown kids watching a porn movie just because a pretty girl is on cam or a guys got his cock out there are rooms on this site to be used for such things .. i dont relish being i a room with guys telling women spread their pussys or flash their tits or women telling guys to jerk off for them tvm

Spot on.

I know where to find people playing if I want to see it, and be able to comment on it, and thats in the directing room.

There is another side to this too.

We often come on together in the chatrooms, and Jayne has a fem profile so she can chat in beta too.

However, she often starts getting pm'ed by guys asking if she is going on cam, (which she never has) will she do this, or that, so we now have a situation where ladies are being harrassed through no fault of their own, because the beta rooms are seen as "easy".

I'll say it again, I dont want to spend my time reporting, blocking and dodging abuse.

i fully understand that rugby but when your trying to geet to know people and have all this going on around you then it very off putting and there are two rooms for this already most of tyhe fems to be fair are just sitting chatting to their friends in the room and ar hounded to death by directors and that why most of then leave and are getting fed up with it .if they wanted to be directed they would go to the directing room themselfs surley?

Yes, I agree, directors shouldn't be directing in any other room than the directing room but not everyone takes note of the rules or if they do they disregard them.

But people can still play on cam in the other rooms, they are obviously there for camfun, just like others are there to just chat. We all use the rooms as we want to, within the rules of course. Just because someone only likes to chat doesn't mean that the people who like camfun shouldn't be in there.

I know this sounds like a broken record, but people need to use the block button if others are annoying them and REPORT any people who are breaking rules.

If there is no mod in, REPORT it and if they are using the new chat and an Admin is doing reports the people will get chucked out straight away.

fact is we are not robots we cant be in fab 24/7 if you no any 1 that is please let admin no. we dont get paid for this and do it in OUR spare time. dont take this the wrong way but would you like the ear bashing like we get if you wasnt in a room when a few are directing if you was a mod. this is old news and been going on for ages we not robots that can be in 20 rooms at the same time ... rant over god bless you all xxxxxxx

Look no one is having ago at MODS they do a brilliant job at keeping the rooms running as they should be and admin also do a good job .... The fact is a lot of members on the site aint happy with a lot of things this topic post being just one of them all were asking is for the situation to be monitored and if possible acted upon in a positive way that benefits all the sites ursers ... people are walking away from a really brilliant site because ppl are getting away with breaking the site rules left right and centre surley as valued members we can make suggestions as to how we think the site could be improved ?

And I know this is getting old too..... but I go in to chat ... to chat, not block and report.

But usually, if there IS a mod in, I would have asked them to deal... so, chances are, there is no mod in... and we are back to square one.

The point of the post was to bring attention to the fact that directing is becoming common place in non directing rooms which is surely a direct breaking of the rules of the site, and consistantly being broken by the the same people.

I also agree that we have a block button and can use it , which i do , but feel i shouldnt have to just so i dont see folks saying can i see more , can u finger urself so i can cum and the like.

I am also aware that any room can be used for 'cam fun' which is fair enough, just keep the directors in check in the non directing rooms.

Directing rooms are plainly marked for the purpose of this . Makes me wonder if they cant read or if there are too many people directing the person they want the attention of , i dont know , but either way , they shouldnt be allowed to direct in any other room.

I am sorry Sth, but we have been using chatrooms for at least 10 years now, vanilla ones plus sex sites.

We have used the block button when someone has annoyed us, it is easier than ranting about it.

Now ok, some of you might think there is a need for more mods, but there still won't be a mod covering every room for 24/7 so what do you expect to happen? You can't be babysat just because you don't want to use your block button.

Getting back to the whole mod thing though, if you think someone or you will make a good mod then send your interest from the CONTACT button at the bottom of the page.

Admin keep a list of people who are interested until they are ready to appoint any.

But I do find it odd that people keep going on about why should they block people who annoy them, why should they report people if there is no mod in etc etc.

If you are not prepared to do that then it isn't worth ranting about it, as you are not using the options Admin have given you. Mods can't be in 24/7 even if you had a 100, so surely people have to use the options given when there isn't any in?

If everyone blocked the person who is directing, you are self modding anyway as he /she would be talking to themselves

TBH yes, this is the place to show Admin what people are thinking, but it seems every suggestion by other people of how people can maximise their enjoyment in chat is shot down.

well i been on site a while and av met in person many admins and they r friends , but i av been informed i am not admin material by some of them , sorry but i do believe it is who u hump lol , and being me friends female and i am straight unlikely to get the call lol , but u know what , it is still a good site , i personaly leave a room if no admins

Because you don't want to see the directors, and unless there is a mod in the room banning them, then the block and report buttons are your next option

I'm definately not having a pop at the mods, who do a good job under difficult conditions.

And I take on board the fact that, no matter how many mods there are, there will still be times when some rooms are not covered.

But, if there were more mods, the problem wouldnt be as bad, plus the current mods wouldnt get such a hard time.

As for "there will be more mods"... when, I first raised this subject quite some time ago, and still we have the problem, in fact, its worse.

To be fair, new mods have been appointed.

Anyway, best thing to do is stick your names down or send a message to Admin from the CONTACT button as to who you think will make a good mod.

When they are ready to roll more mods out they look down a list of people who have offered

There are many rules in life that need to be adhered to, but I'll bet my last penny that every time you see a law been broken in the street that you don't go running to the police, I'll bet even further that you'll also turn a blind eye and shrug your shoulders to most things simply because they ain't worth reporting despite being against the law.

I'm not saying that it's right to break the rules of the site but what I am saying is this:

If a mod is in the room the issue will be addressed, I know since I was a mod at one time, and if there is no mod in the room then you are free to use the facilities that the site has provided each and every member, ie - block and the problem goes away without any fuss of further adoo.

I really fail to see what is the big issue with this one
