Why wont it let me veri someone and vice versa?

Because you are not verified, you cannot then verify someone else.

Two probs there - possible:

If they are not verified either, they cannot verify you.

If you shared an internet access, the systems won't let either verify each other [fail-safe to prevent folks verifying their own second profiles].

Get them to contact Admin via the 'Contact' button, asking to have the verification checked. If it can be done, they will sort it.
