Finding friends in chat

Is there a way to go directly to the same room as a friend in the chat? I can see a list of logged on friends, but I don't know of a way to notify them that I am also logged on or to go directly to them.

Thanks, Jay

no there isn't. you just have to search the chatrooms until you find them or PM them and ask.

I thought that was the case. It would be a useful modification to the site, where should requests like this be sent?

Some people may not want to be found, they may not be in a room but a private chat.

message and ask best way if they are a friend

you can ask here:

but as said above most people don't want to be stalked on here so are against the idea.

It's something that I've seen in other chat sites, the friends list showed which room they were in. If in private chat, it also showed that so you knew not to interrupt.

If anyone is being stalked by a 'friend', perhaps they should un-friend that person?

You Dont Need to Know, right now

If this ever comes in, I want the ability to turn it off, or make it friends-only, as I don't want people following me round the chat rooms.

And making it friends-only would just add to the number of unwanted friends-invites. So I'm afraid it's a thumbs-down from me.
