Verification problems?

Anyone else doing verifications that are not appearing for the person verified?

I've done two for the same person this morning and they are saying verification saved but the other person isn't receiving them.

Very annoying

Has the other person actually told you that it hadn't arrived?

Or can you just not see it on their profile?

If the former, then perhaps you have shared an Internet connection.

If the latter , they probably haven't yet " published" it.

Not everyone publishes verifications; I never do .

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Are you out of their filters? I blocked FM couples, met one at an event, and they couldn't verify me. I find friending them gets around that.

Age filters can also cause this.

I verified this person last week and had no problems.

I was sat next to her when I verified her and it didn't come through?

I'll try again but was wondering if anyone else has had the same?

You can't verify someone when you're sharing the same internet connection. It does say that on the FAQs as well.

If she verified first that's why, you then tried to verify on the same connection so it didn't work and will now continue not to.

Using the same Wi-Fi connection will do that

As is previously said that will have only been if you've shared an Internet connection at any time even something as simple as logging into your account on their device (or vice versa) with do it. This is a security measure by fab to prevent fake verifications on fake profiles

The two main things which will stop a verification being received are:-

1) you have shared an internet connection at some point (this is to stop people setting up fake profiles and verifying themselves)

2) you are outside their filters or they are outside yours. Site admins put this in place because people were sending fake verifications instead of messages, when their filters prevented messages.

If it's the second problem, I think you CAN get round it, by temporarily setting filters wider, sending/receiving verifications, then changing filters back again. E.g. for people you have met at a social.

Yes that's what I do, never at the actual meets but they don't seem to go through I've spoken to others who have the same problem even when I stayed at people homes and you've used their Wi-Fi they don't seem to show. Someone got upset only way I could prove it hadn't come through was to show the verification summary to see when the last one had been left.

I always advise people to copy what they've written somewhere just in case and try again another time

Annoying and frustrating writing them out again.
