Im not sure what you mean to be honest, but on your profile page, blue menu on the left - click Read Messages - and the unread messages are highlighted in yellow, just click on the message...

Is that what you mean?

She changed her age filters just so you could mail her?

If she had just mailed you first the filters no longer apply to you.
