Webcam in new rooms

Heya,

I've been having trouble to get my webcam to work in the new rooms. I have tried IE, Chrome and Firefox; I have tried clicking on the "cam doesn't work?" link; I have restarted PC and tried different USB ports.

The funny thing is, when the Adobe box comes up, the cam shows in the preview pane, but as soon as I "close" the Adobe, the cam switches off and it doesn't broadcast.

Any ideas?

get a wee program called c cleaner

this will clean your cookie and history

also best bet is to get your software up 2 date

What make and model of cam are you using?

What OS and browser + version?

It's an advent cam (ade-300ns)

My OS is Win7, latest updates installed. I mainly use Chrome (current version 9.0.597.107 - most up to date) but I tried it with the others (IE 8, Firefox 3.6)

Also, it shouldn't be a cookie problem since I use Chrome incognito so nothing gets stored on my PC (have tried regular Chrome to no avail just so you know)

got a mew cam works on msn and in old chat but not on new chat

i have updated drivers , i have looked at new drivers , i have the lateesed adrobe flash player.

iam on xp service pk 3

it is a plug an play cam

any ideas

New Chat

I cant get anything to work in new chat I just get a page layout without any chatters or cams.

My cam works fine in old chat and every where else. I have the latest Adobe and I have allowed Fabswingers.

I run Opera as my main browser but I have tried to get in with the latest firefox again no joy . Help !!!

We test in FireFox here and it works Ok. Worth a try in chrome though.
