FabSwingers.com forum: a message but no message

I'm signed up to receive alerts to my phone when I get a message.

so about half an hour ago I get an alert saying i had a message prom let's say "user123" the message said hi, how u doing etc. when I come to sign on to fab there is no new message from this person and a name search reveals no such user?

I thought maybe they had left the site since sending but that's happened previously and the message is still there but it says in brackets user no longer on site rather than there name.

my alerts playing funny buggers?
