We have a block on single guys and single girls.

So single guys cannot look at our profile but single girls seem to still be able to? Why is that?

I,m a single guy and I,v just looked at your profile the filters don't stop anyone looking just stop them messaging.

When you block single guys from messaging, they can still look at your profile but they do not show up in your looked at me. Single females still do, I think it's so people not looking for guys are seeing 100 odd men in the list before any couples etc.

Everyone can look at your profile unless you block that individual profile.

What you are talking about are message filters, and the way fab is set up when you filter out men from mailing you it says Not looking for single man under the looking for on your profile and they won't appear on your who looked at me page. If you message filter women or couples these 2 things don't happen.

That is just the way Fab is.

Thanks again, would have thought it should be the same across the board but it's not really important! I was just curious!

Filters only apply to messages x anyone can view your profile unless you've blocked the individual person ??

Messaging filters do not stop anyone looking at your profile unless you block each individual. Men can look at your profile but do not show up on your looked at me page, all other groups do. But accurately a TV/TS is not a man in a skirt, it's a person who either likes to cross dress or who identifies as a female.

This has been a subject that i have recently spoken to a friend about as it seems that filters are all well and good but they could have a Dual propose ie ( if age range filter is to stop messages getting through why not use it so people cant view your file either as your not going to want to meet them sl why would you like them looking at you ) sounxs daft to me allowing it another example ( is i am straight and not wanting gay men and gay men won't be wanting me so again why allow them to view my profile again makes no sense to me ).

Maybe a TV/TS has never looked at your profile before or they have but stealth perved.

TV/TS show on your who looked page, have done for the 5+ years I have been on here, it is just single men who won't show if you have them filtered out.

There's no need to be so precious about who looks at your profile. Many people (like me) really enjoy the social side of swinging, as well as the sex. Just because I'm unlikely to have sex with someone, doesn't mean I don't want to get to know them socially, and I'm happy for them to read my profile. E.g. I'm never likely to have sex with an 18 year old guy, but when I'm in the chat room, I find it interesting to exchange ideas with them, get their viewpoint etc. Therefore, I open my profile so they don't have to waste time asking the boring mundane things like "how old are you" etc.

I fully understand and accept your point but mine is i have no choice in the matter of who views my profile (other than blocking every body i dont want viewing which would be totally non praticable ) but i do have when it comes to messages and if all filters did a dual purpose then you could have the choice . Maybe a thing it could be introduced for site supporters

I think the moral of the story is, if you don't want people to look at you, stay away from sex sites.

Now thats a bit off a cop out you not think especially when site can help you block people by using the button or filters for messages

Why is it a cop out? If you have a profile on a sex site of course people will view it!

I fully understand that point but would like to be in control of who viewed it. Like if i didn't want someone of 18yr viewing it i have no control over that which you do have on other sites , i can filter there messages but not viewing unless there in Stealth mode or block all one by one which would be me wasting my time doing that other than looking for potential play mates if i want any

"Pisses me off that people who block single guys are allowed to look at their profiles "

People who ARE looking for single guys often set their filters, so that they don't get swamped by messages from single guys. THE SITE adds the line 'not looking for single guys', whenever that filter is set. Those couples/ladies need to be able to browse single guys' profiles, so that they can approach the (minority of) single guys that they are attracted to.

It's just an inbox-control tool.

If you have filters set that you are happy with and work for your purposes, what possible difference could it make to your experience of the site for people outside of them to be able to look at your profile?

Lets put it another way if people are not looking for straight single males and have there age preferences set for younger guys what good is it for them viewing a profile they never ever wish too meet.

As to the difference of my experience is i like to be in CONTROL of who looks at me and if i am protected by filters for age range why can't they be used the same way for people viewing me
