Admin deleting mail

I've noticed that when my inbox approaches 300 unread messages, the oldest ones disappear from view.

I just wondered what status the sender will see when he clicks on his sent messages?

Will it show as deleted unread, unread or something else?

Tia

You do know that most of them just drop off the bottom of your inbox?

If you delete some then older one's show.

Thank you, yes I did.

I don't want them back, I just wondered what they look like to the sender.

Thank you guys. Reading that back, I see that it makes sense that they would say 'unread'

If youve no interest in reading them why not just delete them instead of worrying what status says to sender

I would think the sender already knows you arent that bothered about the message otherwise you will have actioned the message somehow, either by reading it, deleting it or replying

I personally dont see the point in leaving messages unread in an inbox, clutters everything up

You are right, I just never think of deleting them, I never even look at them.

But I will delete everything everytime I log on from now on.

Thank you.

If you're not reading any mail.. Then why not just set filters?

I shoved filter on when my messages got to 1000 unread.

Even if the site deletes them (which it does eventually) i think they just show as unread so long as you never opened them at all. Only if you open them and read them does it show as read and deleted,. even if you mark them unread again.
