It's saying I've got 103 messages but my messages keep getting deleted before I can get to them. Also I'm supposed to see past conversations with friends but it doesn't show the whole conversation between us. Anybody got any idea why any of this is happening please?

The messages are deleted - the unread messages number goes down - or have fallen off the bottom of the page?

If the number is going down it may mean the sender has left the site, I have found their mail goes too, sometimes not always. Or fab auto deletes mail over 2 weeks old. If they are dropping off the page delete read mail you no-longer want and move others to saved messages.

Past conversations - It won't show the whole conversation only the last 20-30 messages. Are you only getting 1 side of the conversation?

Hi would love to know, if I send a message and it shows as unread for a few days is it possible it's just been deleted and not read? Or would it show as unread deleted? Thanks in advance

They could have read it and then marked it as unread

They may want to keep it to reply another day or for their partner to read if it's a couple. By leaving it unread means it doesn't get lost in the read messages and then deleted

I'm getting both sides of the messages hun but only the last two or three posts between us. I've got deleted messages from a few days ago which I don't understand.

Are you both hitting 'reply to message' rather than starting a new message thread as it were. If you reply then it should give you the conversation.

There does appear to be a bug in the system at the moment. I had a message last night which had vanished the next time I looked (no I didn't delete it) and I have a notification email of another message which is not in my inbox. Both from the same person whose other messages are still showing.

Site techies need to investigate

it simply implies, if unread that its unread and recipient does not want to read it, if its deleted unread, the recipient is not interested.

Focus less on sent box is my advice
