problem with photos with a mac

HI, just purchased a mac and when trying to upload photos through the site the whole list of photos do not appear, it seems as if older ones appear but not ones that we took this week.

I have checked on photos and all appear that way so just wondered if any apple techs in that can tell me what to do ?
