I've just seen on my local statuses a little red Rosette next to a couple's username... is this something new?? Any info would be appreciated

Just double checked my local list and it clearly says beside the rosette, XXX user has been verified 5 times

seems to be when they receive the 5th one - 10th one etc - and i think only as an update notification - so far as i can make out

Shows if user has been verified by x people (5/10/100 etc.) and the user is showing the verification summary on their profile.

As with all newsfeed data, we'll only every show stuff that is already public on your profile.

If you never want it shown for yourself, just turn off your verification summary.

Just a quick note about our general thinking with this.

If you're a verified user who meets and is looking for likewise, over the next few months you'll see more from other verified users in the newsfeed, and less from people who aren't meeting.

Same way that when you look at the top photos gallery, we filter new accounts, not verified accounts to try and stop fake photos showing there, if you're into meeting and someone else isn't, we'll show less from them in your local updates

Hi, On the photo subject..why not just make it so any photo on fab is unique to the fab site..if its found on on any other web sites its removed ,

I appreciate that some fab user are members on other sites and use the same photos ..connie xx

We use our pics on other sites, they are my pictures and I can put them on whatever site I choose.

A guy i know has over 50 and been verified twice in the past 2 days and he hasn't got one.

But yeah i probably see one soon coz i keep looking.

It looks like you only get the rosette if you get a new verification, rather than already have lots of verifications.

Admin, you say "and the user is showing the verification summary on their profile", what if the user isn't showing the summary, but is showing many verifications?

Also, Admin, it appears that the "tool tips" (the popup that explains that the green tick means "Verified by other users", etc.) don't work in the newsfeed.

We just saw it in our newsfeed.

"XYZ has now been verified by 20 people"

Only shows in the feed as and when each magic number is reached. Drops off the bottom of the feed like any other status updates.

we like it!

Maybe make it a bit like the tick? so it shows alongside the username in the feed/search all the time. OOOOOH or make different tick colours like on eBay (well, not like eBay feedback - but 20 verifications says a lot more than ONE doesn't it!). I get that we could click through, but being able to see at a glance is much more efficient!

Local updates are usually dependant on your profile "looking for" & I think it's meet veris.

It's not about fucking enough people. I meet people socially and veri as such

Can this not be turned off independently of the veri summary? Can't imagine the messages I'll get at my next 'milestone' will be complimentary, unless they're from those who assume I'll fuck anything, then they'll be sickeningly flattering!

Don't get how this is more benefit than a green tick.

The biggest improvement would be to not lose the old verifications when people leave!
