picture messages

I'm sending pictures through messages and ticking the box to delete them when there read but they arnt deleting, any help

It takes a little while for the pics to delete. I seem to remember a recent post saying it can be up to 12 ( ? ) hours.

From Admin on another thread:

If, from browsing your sent mail, you delete the pic using the link which says "remove photo from message", it does just that and the attachment is removed

If when you're attaching a photo and you tick the box that says "Remove photos from message shortly after it's read (improved privacy)" then system automatically removes the attachment once the message has been read (within 24hrs).

How does this work with site supporter's? I e if they read the previous message, leaving the message as unread? Can they see the picture without opening the message it's attached too?

Just curious admitted as I don't attach pics to messages

You have to open the message which has the pic attached to see the pic, you can read the message in the thread but you can't see the photo.
