I believe you mean the "Meets Requests and Parties" forum section (http://www.fabswingers.com/forum/meets)

or the main "Meet Today" (http://www.fabswingers.com/meets) link above?

Filtering on "organised social" at the meets page gives you pretty much what you want to see

think the point is ... a central forum for socials ... some are in lounge, some are in uk, some are in the regional rooms, etc

They are only normally in the UK and the Meet and Party sections.

The Scotland and Welsh forums like their socials in there own section so why we have left them in.

If you see any anywhere else report them and they will be moved to the right section.

that seems to be the problem in scotland, as on other sites there are some general rules on the site.

ie you need to be an active member for 3months to be able to attend a social,

also details only sent out to those going a wk before the even.

gd rules/ guidelines in my opinion for a safe and gd social.

saves any proplems for the organisers too

You might be better off contacting people who already do socials as they would be likely to have the best advice.

Fabswingers itself doesn't have anything to do with socials so don't have any rules on it.

"They are only normally in the UK and the Meet and Party sections."
Why are they listed in both? I've seen a number of posts (and I've done it myself) where someone posts saying "I thought I'd added my name to the list for this social, but I can find myself, can you please add me". The organiser then responds "It's OK, you posted in the other thread, you are on the list". Surely one central area, the obvious choice would be "Meet Requests and Parties", would be best?

It used to just be the UK section, then Admin made a meets and parties section when people asked for it.

It didn't solve anything by having a section for meets as the organisers posted in both instead....naughty swingers they are , they got the meet section under false pretences, but as it isn't hurting anyone the mods don't take them off.

The UK section would probably be empty if it wasn't for the meets in it anyway.

The way people can stop any confusion is for the organisers to stop putting two threads up about a meet, then people will know they have added to the main one....

near the sounds of the wimborne quarter jack!

I can see both sides of the coin of having a single place for meets and spreading them around different areas. The things that make it difficult having one place for all parties and socials is that parties for maybe 10 people or less (for example) getting mixed up with larger social events makes life difficult to decifer what`s what.

Having more than one section should work fine except that some people have a very different view of what actually a social or party consists of and you get sigles guys renting a hotel room for the night, advetising a "gang bang" and hoping people will turn up!

It`s very difficult for Admin and Mods to police what is what and the flack they`ll undoubtedly receive because they`ve "missunderstood"!

The only I wish would happen is that the Welsh and Scottish people would put their social meets in the General section because I seldom visit their sections, simply because I forget they`re there and those who nkow me from other places will know I`m not advers to making the trip accross the Border for a bit of good `ole Scottish hospitality and South Wales in particular is very reachable for me! So come on you people, put your social notices in one place where we can ALL see them PLEEEEEEEAAAAASSSSSSSEEEE!

surely those are rules of the organisers of those events rather than site rules?
