I get a feedup of the stupid antisociale people, who is too silly to communicate, and love to use the block the user button without any reason. Why the admins not update,or rewiew this primitive "block" policy?

What would you rather the block facility did instead? Make cheese toasties? Set off fireworks?

Its a site feature useful to those of us who sometimes pick up persistent, creepy, or abusive messagers, and want our time on Fab to be stress free.

If they didn't block you would you leave them alone or keep messaging them?

Ilkeston

Perhaps the problem isn't "block heroes", but the way in which you approach people and the contents of your profile?

If they block you, they are not interested, thats how it works.

. Why worry about being blocked .? No one is compelled to communicate with anyone . I am unsure how many blocks I have as I only communicate with people if there is a match . If there is no reply I don't bother checked to see if I am blocked .As

I use to message man politely and say not interested, which they were ok with, but only to send me another message ( the same message) a week or 2 later !

So now I just block, don't mean it to be rude, and don't want anyone to

Take offence.

People always have a reason to block someone else, even if you don't agree with it.

I doubt very much that Admin will make everyone blockless

I reckon we must be "Block Super Heroes".

We use it lots. For many reasons. Some of them probably pretty shallow.

In the end it just makes life a lot simpler on Fab.

Anyone who disagrees with our method is of course welcome to...

Sadly I had this too

Now I check site supporters when the person last messaged me.

No nit-picking please

Unless someone specifically asks for their profile to be critiqued or if it's relevant to the thread e.g. someone is wondering why they're not having success, please don't critique their profile or be mean about it

It's not a 'primitive' policy. There are hundreds of thousands of people on this site, and choosing not to communicate with some of them is not stupid, anti-social or silly. We simply want to make the most of the time we spend on Fab.

The 'block' tool is a useful way of ensuring that people can't pester us, that we don't accidentally pester someone else, that our neighbours and work-mates can't see our profiles, and a hundred of other good reasons.

I suspect that your real complaint is that (as a single male) you don't want to block anyone, so you don't think that anyone should be able to block you, either. But it just doesn't work like that. If someone has blocked you it means that they're not interested in you, and that they're not interested in explaining why. I'm sure Admin will leave this tool in place.

Oooh, I think I know the answer.

OP, choose one of the above, but choose it wisely, the rest of this thread could depend on it.

Peaky Nipples

I use the block option when I see profiles in my local update that I have no interest in, this then means that I see updates from those I am potentially interested in.

Seems like a great way to save lots of people's time?

Folks seem to take the block option on here way too personally.

The blocking is very important, but i spoke with someone from the my friend list today. I got the her message, then she blocked mi without reasons before i sent a reply to her. No was any conflict between us. Someones use the block button like a toy. Better for example if WITHOUT REASON no way to block directly from the friend list. Remowe the user, and can block only next day.I have a problem with the disrespect only.

Now you are in danger of airing dirty washing.

Just accept that people can block who they like, when they like, and even if on your friends list and you will probably enjoy the site more

Guess you just weren't for her after seeing friends pics..that is not a problem surely..that is like trying a new food, and after taking a bite you decide you do not like it...you would then refuse to eat it if you did not like...not force it down regardless...lol

She obviously didn't like what she saw so wasn't interested in any further communication. Happens all the time on here. Just move on.

I block guys who message me who obviously haven't read my profile about my preferences. It's amazing the number of bi/bisexual/married/attached guys who message me, or guys messaging for last minute meets. If they can't read my profile then I doubt I'd want to engage in a conversation never mind anything else. So block it is.

This.

And men who have chatted in the past, not pursued things further for whatever reason, then message again later because they forget. Life is too short for long explanations. Block is quicker.
