Can you tell me whilst sending a private message to someone, the web link was removed?????

I think the system automatically filters some of them but not 100% sure

I've just sent myself a private message containing a web link to a 'rival' site and it wasn't filtered ...

more north lincs than mids!

it always filters out website addy's if its the first message sent to someone. If they reply then you can resend the address.

if u read the rules i do believe it says web links are not allowed, hence the removal of them. You have to use msn to send yr links out xx

I think that only applies to the chatrooms not private messages

We sent two private messages to different ppl tonight in reply to forum threads.

Both had Traces web site on,one was allowed,the other blocked.Whats all that about,it wasn't a rival site etc?

Before the site revamp we were allowed a clickable Home Page address on the bottom of our profile,very handy.

It would be nice to have that feature back.

We're not saying that the site isn't infinitely better now because it is,its just the Homepage feature was useful. Especially if you have your own site with pic's and info.

We used to like browsing peoples homepages, was a shame when it was removed

Maybe if could be a supporter extra and only accepted if a mod checked it first to stop any abuse.
