Hey, just a quickie (isn't it always)

Because obviously both of us log on and not always together. When I read a message and mark it as unread, if say that person looks in their sent folder will it show as read or unread?

Always wondered

It'll show up as unread, hence the 'mark as unread!'

Unless they check their sent box just as you read it and see it go from read to yellow as you mark it unread, that is.

yeah i had a message from someone today telling me i was naughty for reading his message and then marking it unread. so sometimes (if they are stalking their sent box i guess?) they know oyu've read it.
