um could be your flah player being out of date, i had that problem for a while, updated my java and went well from there

delete your temp internet files, update ya flash player etc.,

Thanks for your suggestions. I tried the above but no change. Hmm, if I'm banned (not that I think I am) can it be cleared?

You are not banned.

Try firefox if you are not already doing so, but what others have suggested normally clears it.
