Is there a way I can block an abusive couple even tho they have blocked me?

Just type their username into the box on your block list.

.....and report the abuse to Admin from the contact button in the blue section on bottom of any page.

Easiest way if you still have a message is using block in that. I've had trouble blocking in the block function if you don't get the username totally right.
