Just going through deleting messages and I notice on some either theirs or our messages have disappeared. It's looking random. Any ideas why this happens please?

Menston near Ilkley

Sometimes one half of a couple will message privately and then so his/her partner doesn't see the what was discussed will delete. Could it be this?

No I always do the deleting and we don't have anything to hide. It's messages I've sent or received whilst chatting anyway so wouldn't apply

I've noticed that too! Wondered if there was something in settings that hides messages? It is there a time scale on message storage? For instance A friend has messaged me today for first time in two weeks and these I can see but older than that I can't on the conversation thread!!
