Why when you look whos online nearby, does it say that people are 1-2 mile away, when you know for a fact they are not.

I've had within half a mile when I was in Glasgow last... have to admit to having my fab radar cranked up to see if I could work out who it was... lol

The distance thing might be skewed from the last time their mobile etc picked up a GPS position.
