Verifying others

I'm verified as a user and have met a couple who aren't verified. Am I able to verify they are genuine and they leave comment for me? I tried to do this but people can only leave comments for other verified users - seems odd!

You have to be verified by meet/cam yourself (ie you need to have a green tick on your profile) before you can verify someone.

You are photo-verified (ie you have a green flag not a green tick) so you cannot verify anyone yet

I've just met an in verified user so we want to verify each other but we both can't because we're not already. How do we do It??

If the other person is verified then they can verify you

You can't until 1 of you is verified by others

This is daft.. I met a couple, had fun but can't verify and they cannot verify me.. How can u get verified.. If u have to be verified first who the hell verified them.. Surly everyone who stared on fab weren't verified so who verified them??? It's daft if u ask me

As stated previously in this thread:

When verifications were first introduced, the Admin/Mods verified people who had participated in the Meet/Greets etc - to start the process off.

This seems like a really sensible way of doing it, as it prevents one fake from verifying another fake or dare I say it one person with 2 fake accounts verifying both of them..... not that anyone in this site would do that of course.
