Hi - is it possible to amend your code to feedback to a sender if their messages have been deleted unopened? At present you can see when opened, replied and deleted but if a message is simply deleted before opened the sender never knows.

You will prob find a lot less messages will be held in "sent items" as a result.

Hope you think this is a simple and worthwhile idea.

Does it really matter? If it has been deleted or read then deleted it obviously means the reader isn't interested... or am I missing somthing??

Yes you are missing the point sorry x If a message is deleted without being read the sender only sees it as unopened. Therefore you still await a reply and probably dont clear it from your sent items. This added dev work would just be a helpful way of knowing whats happened to your message. You prob havent experienced this as im sure all your messages are opened x Its a bloke thing

O o O oo

Isn't deleting without reading and deleted with reading the same outcome though?

OP, don't worry about your sent messages box, I delete all my sent mail as soon as its sent. You'll either get a reply or you won't, no point stressing about things you have no control over.

O.P. how would someone reply to a deleted message?

If someone has deleted your message they are unlikely to be interested.

Grantham.

"How do I retrieve a meaage I deleted by accident?"

I think the word deleted means exactly that and cannot be undone.
