A couple messaged us re a possible meet. We said we'd be happy to meet up for a social but we would like to swap face pics/friends invites to make sure we don't know them & also establish there is an attraction. They sent us a friends invite which we duly accepted. While there are several new pics to see there are no faces so we're no further forward & don't see why they bothered sending us it. pics. We have plenty of clear face pics in our friends but didn't share them as it didn't seem fair, so when they were offline we deleted the invite.

Question is will they see we have accepted & then deleted & think we're not interested? What happens next?

Don't think they will know that you've accepted and deleted but will wonder why you won't appear to have accepted it when you asked them for an invite lol.

Why not just ask them for face pics or is it a case of who blinks first??

If it is, just move on!!

If they had face pics on their friends we wouldn't be in this situation. Maybe it's a case of who blinks first, but we thought as they friended us it's more likely we would have seen them before us. There has to be a fairer way of viewing each other's mug shots at the same time. Yes we could move on but on a site that's difficult to meet, I would still have in the back of my mind what if they were really hot!! I'm just hoping they will realise & message us some pics. I know we could message them just feel awkward now.

One of you will have to see the other's face pics first, so why not ask them what they do for a job? That narrows it down a bit as to whether you might know them or not. That's what we do. Then go for it, send a pic and ask for theirs.

Otherwise just move on to someone else. Or go to clubs instead, much easier and more fun.

Well if you accepted and deleted them as friends then no coz when they look they won't be "friends" why didn't you just say we need to see face pics?

I don't accept friend requests until I know what a person looks like and know they're the type of person I would like to meet. If people get funny about sending a face pic then I just don't bother, some of the crap people come out with to not send one is unbelievable. Just ask them for one as they have none on their friends list.

Going back to my original question are they aware that we've accepted and deleted, or do they just think we Ignored their invite? Think I have to tell them a white lie and say we deleted it by accident but we are still interested & would like to see some face pictures. Don't understand what people are saying when they don't accept friends invite from people they haven't met, what's the difference in seeing face pictures when friends in Invites are so easy to delete anyway? Thanks.

They wouldn't have known you had accepted then deleted but they will now as everyone can see the forums!

It would have been some much easier if you had just asked to see their face pics

If they have email notifications all they will know you have excepted thier friend invite as they wil get an email telling them. So on seeing you are not on their list they will know you deleted.

Does it really matter if you know them? I mean which one of the two couples is going to spread the word that the other is on here and how they going to explain that they know. Stop worrying about that sort off thing and just get on and enjoy it.

It isn't a site rule to have face pics in your friends album, I don't have any on mine. If I want o send a face pic I send one from my private album

I don't know but if they read the forums they will have seen this and know anyway.

Why not just ask for face pictures? Offer yours first if you're doing the asking.

If you cant communicate in this you will really struggle when it comes to communicating your boundaries etc.
