The green arrow next to their name in the forum... or click on the green arrow next to anyones name, and then re-write the profile name in the box above

I dont think ive made it clear enough... what if someone you are friends with says they posted something on a forum but cant remember which one for eg. Can you search forae for a user name to see if they posted there? Or can you search for theads/posts by user name like you can for your own?

Does the poster not have to be in the forum to see the green arrow? Can't see it on a normal profile?

The green arrow only works if you find them on one of the treads in the forum,

No, you can hit the green arrow against anyone who has posted in the forums, you then change the name in the address bar to the user you're looking for.

I must be a bit dense as if I click on the green arrow it gives you a list of the topics they have posted in, but I can not see any address bar to change

The address bar where you would type a web address... Look at the top it'll say fabswingers.com/forum etcetc... and at the very end of the address it says the profile name...
