Deleting messages ?

Can messages be deleted from your sent & received boxes by someone else ? I sent and received some today to a certain person, now they disappeared, and I know I didn't delete. .?

I've deleted some by accident on my phone. It's quite easy to do it.

Thanks for reply, but definitely didn't delete by accident, plus it's hard to delete by accident from two different boxes, both sent box and received box ?
