I have just got a new pc with windows 8, its as fast as fu*k in chat lol but i cant seem to type most of the smileys ?

Has anyone had this problem ?

I have it set on english on chrome, and all i can think of its the pc keyboard ?

You can't type them, or you can type them, but they get displayed as the normal characters? I've noticed recently that when I use : - o, I see them as colon-hyphen-little o, rather than

yes i have had feedback from other users in the rooms and apparently they see the smiley, but i see the letters ?

my question is a stupid one im afraid-have seen people in chat using the smiley with moving lips-what do i type in to get that one?
