new account delay?

Hi admins

A friend who left site due to some ignorant people namecalling and abusing her has decided to rejoin but is stuck on the waiting approval screen....for more than 15 mins.. she has tried another email address also... is there a problem or a backlog admins are dealing with?

Im not sure that 15 minutes really counts as a delay...dont know how long it usually takes but Im sure that Admin will deal with it as soon as they get chance.

Tell them to try again in 2 days.

We recommended a genuine single male & yesterday he tried joining.

Its still pending.

Its a farce, everyone complains about a large percentage of the site & yet genuine good people can't even join.

Still we know not to recommend people come here anymore

Make sure they aren't using google chrome when setting up the account, seems to be some glitch which keeps them stuck in pending. Use IE to set account up, then use preferred browser once set up

They are using iphone.. safari.. and didnt have issue setting up before..just since they deleted account within last two days...is there a timeout period after deleting account that a new account from the same ip is blocked?

Ok Now I know something hinky is going on.

I created a new user on her behalf as her safari was stuck at approval. I created it and handed it to her.

5 mins later her account is locked, she cannot upgrade (not accepting upgrades at this time) and admin has blocked her account

Come on fab.. why is happening?

Did you then verify her from your account using the same internet connection?

Cos to admin it would have looked like someone setting up and trying to verify a fake account.

Use the 7th option on the CONTACT button at the bottom of the page giving all info asked for and Admin will sort it sort it.
