My e-mail notifications have stopped working i have tried changing option and leaving for 24hrs then re-set but no luck- anyone else had this ?

Try googlemail.

We send that many notifications that some email providers incorrectly fail to deliver them

Switch them off & log in to deal with whatever it is.

I've never understood this, why do i need another email to say i have another email!???

fab send thousand of mails per week so it's going to be classed as spam by some mail box providers.

Add fabswingers email to your allowed list for your mail provider, otherwise it's like to be spam boxed.

Some mail providers spam it even before it gets to your mail box's..
