blocking someone

we have had to resort in blocking another user. have tried blocking the user by block sender from the mail they have sent, also from the block page. putting their username into the box but no matter what we have tried the name does not show in our block list? anyone any ideas please?

Have you tried clicking in their profile? Maybe they are blocked but just not showing in the list for some reason x

it says unavailable but that could be them blocking us? so we cant tell if they are actually blocked by us or not. would rather them be blocked by us so they can never contact us again. really don't want messeges or offers from them again.

I think it might be something to do with the profile being suspended by Admin but Im not sure so Im going to move this to Site Help.

so what happens if the suspension gets lifted? we wont know. should still be able to block the account so we cant run into any more problems by the user

As I said Im not sure thats the reason, thats why Ive moved it to here so that someone can hopefully give you an answer

ok thanks for your help hopefully we will find out soon. we did report them so maybe admin acted fairly quick and now doing their investigation.

If you reported them chances are admin put a permanent block in between you both. Meaning neither will show on the others blocked page so neither of you will be able to unblock in future.

If you get the "you cant view this profile" message on the mobile site... hit "send message" in the grey banner.. It will then tell you either... You've blocked them, they've blocked you, or the yellow bit under 'why' will be blank.. Which I believe means the profile is suspended.
