Some sent messages missing

Noticed the other day that some of our sent messages have disappeared. It's random and include newer ones not just old! Anyone know why and how to get them back? We haven't deleted any, apart from one.

I reckon once they are gone they are gone for good. You can't even see your sent messages in the conversation record.

I know ... good job I had the foresight to save them to a Word.doc! Seems may need to do that pronto in future!!!

You can, in this section or from the CONTACT button.

Admin like people to put any potential gremlins into the site help section though as then they can see if anyone else has the same problem so you are in the right place.

I noticed this too just this morning. I was looking for a message thread I had with a lady 30 weeks ago during the Mr Fab 2013 shebang when I wrote her part one of a short story.

I thought today I had best get it saved to word only to find out it had vanished like a thief in the night! It wasn't the oldest message either.

Any chance I can retrieve it pretty please?

Thanks for your comments Rugby & Bliss. Let's hope Admin do look at this then. Do they really? I saw that they said emailing them is not recomended as they get so many they don't look much!

Various criteria can mean a message is removed from your sent mail box.

Most common being: If user has deleted the message, if the recipient is no longer on site, if the message remains unread for many days

It can be anything from a few hours to many days depending on exactly what has happened. We have to do this because many millions of messages are sent weekly and we need to keep removing them from the system. We'll look at whether we can improve the criteria so for site supporters they remain in your sent box longer
