Verify via webcam?

Hey everyone

I was just wondering, is it OK to ask someone (who is already verified) in the chatroom, to verify me via webcam?

I wasn't sure if we were allowed to ask or not

No, it isn't allowed, single men have to be verified by meet only "

as i am also verified v web cam i ve been chatting with a female for some time

an be meeting when she gets back

if it was not then the option should not be there

How do I get verified by other members?

You need to find someone who is already verified and ask them to verify you. If you are a couple or a woman then you can get verified by webcam or phone. An easy way to do this is to go into the chatroom while you are both there, switch your webcam on and ask someone to verify you. If you are a single guy then you need to meet someone

I have read this and thought this was true but its seems if it is true then there seems to be a fault because there are a lot of single guys being verified by cam recently. maybe admin can confirm on this post and stop any further confusion

cam or fone should be allowed 2 verify

putting a cam on or calling a fone

dont make u genuine..saying that

shouldnt be different rules for guys really, its just discrimination, what possible reason is there?? just some nobheads making life hard for guys like me, how am i going to get a meet when the ones would i may have a chance to have a meet with want verification but only way to get said varification would be having a meet.... i could carry this on all day haha

It’s not any different for guys, think the wording is more aimed towards showing a female is present in a couple, or the single female is actually a female, after all there’s not many ladies that pretend to be a guy, so in effect, a guy has no reason to show he's a guy, people will assume he is anyway.

we agree, and were simple asking admin to clarify the rules on web cam and phone verifications as the FAQ says one thing and then the site allows cam and phone verifications for single guys. Have seen similar posts as the OP as there is some confusion on this subject.So can admin please clarify

At the moment there is nothing to stop people verifying men via cam/phone. It is tolerated but not preferred.

We're open to suggestions here. We could (easily) remove the phone/cam options on the verification page when verifying a man which would mean men could only be verified after meets.

Any views?

Nobody takes much notice of phone or cam verifications, however they are a very handy tool for people starting out, if you do decide to remove them then they should be removed for all and not just single guys, since the introduction of photo verification they are now pretty much useless, but people who are photo verified still cannot verify others they have met, so it’s a catch 22 really, but what would be nice though is limiting such verifications to one per profile.

Personally, we'd remove the option to verify by webcam or phone completely.

Verification by meet only, be it a play meet, a social or a cup of coffee

I would like to see the option to verify by phone or cam to remain as it is, so that a newbie has a chance to get verified without having to meet another person/couple first, as meets are much harder to come by for newbies.

Think I may have had a eureka moment on this one, but I'll see what you guys think...

I believe the worry here is a single guy can get verified by cam or phone and then have this verification hidden, and then noone knows if it is from meeting or just from cam/phone.

How about having it so that people with only cam/phone verifications have to have them showing on their profile until they get one from meeting, at which point they can do what they like? (p.s. I'm crap at computer whizz stuff so don't know how easy or hard this would be to organise?)
