Withdrawing a Verification

We were wondering if it is possible to withdraw a verification once it has been given?

We gave one to a guy we meet a while ago & have since come across some information about him which if we had known about we not have met him (let alone verified him).

Bit his tick will stay.

Surely the verification is about the time you spent with him and not what he has or has not done since

True but we are far from comfortable that he is now using our verification to help him meet others.

The only way to stop someone showing a verification that you have given them is to block them.

As the other have said they will still keep the verification tick and it will show in the verification summary, but they will not be able to display it on their profile.

You verified him as real and turned up.

Which he did.

What happened afterwards is non of our business & personally I dont care.

No offence but that is a cop out.

Just say for example that you subsequently discover that for instance the person is HIV positive or has a conviction for violent rape?

Are you saying you would still be relaxed about that person continuing to use your verification to enable meets?

If I verify someone, then I am very clear and I state if I met with them socially or more intimately. End of.

It's the internet, I do not put out things as I know you cant always take it back.

The veri system on here is to verify they are real, turned up and looked something like their pictures. Nothing more nothing less.

It is not a personal guarantee of someone nor is it open to being withdrawn after, what is usually other peoples private petty squabbles.

There is nothing to stop someone taking a screen shot of their veri's on display then hiding them all and sending the screen shot to others. I've even seen people's profile where they have the veris in the profile text.

You block them, they cant display the veri. It still means they turned up and looked something like what they say.

I agree; this site is about intimate contact and there are potentially real health issues.

What if you subsequently discovered that he was a convicted paedophile looking for couples with children or single mothers ; it happens, just read the newspapers.

Personally, I would report to FS admin as I would expect that they have a lawyer that they consult regarding the site.

At this stage you don't have to be specific about what the allegation is, but it should get them taking a closer look at his profile and then, probably, taking things further.

The OP was asking how to remove a verification and that has been answered.

If there are ever concerns about someones suitability for the site then the best thing to do is to report the profile to Admin and let them have a look at it.
