Suddenly all photos sent to us say blurred.

Option available to change and unblurr, when I select this, nothing happens!

What can I do please?

I can see photos on profiles and in hot photos etc it is only when receiving a message containing a photo that it says message blurred. It allows me to click change but I already have don’t blur any images selected so something seems to have gone wrong in the last few days

I think the picture icon is there showing that you can change your settings, not that a picture has been sent.

Oh it was definitely a picture that was sent because the person sending it asked if I liked what I was seeing

It's a new setting and not a problem

We have laws about people sending unsolicited messages and Fab had taken steps to limit this

Considering it takes one click to see the images, and there are two separate threads talking about non consent issues on Fab, this should be seen as a good thing...

I am not seeing it on every message and when I go into messages I have received that definitely had photos attached I see they have gone now and I just have the annoying message saying about blurred messages that will not change and allow me to see the photo. Come on fab this is not good enough at all

Yes aware of that as a site supporter I do it when sending messages all the time.

That happens after the recipient reads the message the first time though I believe.

These are messages from friends that have been there as part of a conversation for weeks now suddenly gone so I don’t think that’s what has happened but I may be wrong.

My guess is Fab has rolled out a new blurred‑photo safety feature, but it’s currently buggy.

Photos in messages aren’t loading, the unblur button doesn’t work, and some old message photos have vanished.

It’s a site-wide issue, not your settings.

You’ll need to wait for Fab to patch it
