Profile being blocked by the site?

I just heard from a new member that they were blocked from sending messages for mentioning other site names, is this true? And when did that start to happen? I've done it before but I received a warning first, but never stopped from sending messages

Yes it is true..you get a warning for first 'offence'followed secondly by a block..think its 20 minutes??

Hmm he said he didn't receive a warning and was blocked for a couple of hours!

Well, you learn something new everyday! And he was only messaging to say Hi as he knew me from somewhere else.

It depends on what site name or link was mentioned....but yes it does happen.

It happened to us once and we got barred from mailing for two hours....

In all honesty, why does it really matter if other swinging sites are mentioned? Are the site owners frightened that these sites are better than fab?

Because it stops mass spam mailing advertising other sites,if I owned this site id block them too,why allow it as a platform to be used to advertise the competition?

In my defence I didn't know about it either....and Admin and HPC had a great laugh at my expense
